Another council is to brief private landlords on the new Renters Rights Act.
Cheshire West and Chester council is holding a forum on the issue on Thursday September 24, organised in partnership with the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).
Samantha Watkin from the NRLA will discuss how the new landlord database will work.
Officers from the Council will also talk about the revised Housing and Health Safety Rating System and how the Council’s Private Rented Sector Service will carry out inspections.
A council spokesperson says: “This session will be invaluable to private landlords with the opportunity to discuss new legislation and safety requirements with our key speakers from the sector.
“We will continue to work with the many good landlords in the borough and take action on those who are not providing safe and well managed homes for our residents.”
