Council-run private lettings agency sets up landlord event

A private lettings agency set up by a council is organising a landlord forum in April.

The event is run in partnership with the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).

Last year, over 70 landlords registered for the event by ABC Lettings, a private agency operated by Ashford borough council.

A statement by the council explains the context for the event, saying: “Many landlords continue to face increasing costs, including higher mortgage rates and shifts in investor confidence, contributing to a reduction in available private rented stock.”

The event is on April 24 and the event will offer:

  • An update on the Renters Reform Act (RRA)
  • Expert legislative updates from the NRLA
  • An overview of the services available through ABC Lettings
  • Practical information to help landlords adapt to new regulatory requirements
  • Opportunities to network with housing professionals

The final agenda will be released soon, as well as details to book a place.
