Deposit alternative service links with shared-living platform

Deposit alternative service Zero Deposit has partnered with a shared-living property platform.

Under the partnership, COHO tenants will be able to access Zero Deposit products as part of the tenancy application process.

For COHO’s landlords, the partnership claims to provide access to regulated protection while giving prospective tenants more choice.

COHO already provides tools covering tenant onboarding, referencing, tenancy agreements, rent management, compliance and deposit management, with the platform designed specifically around the requirements of shared-living properties.

A Zero Deposit spokesperson says: “COHO has built an impressive platform focused on making shared living work better for renters, landlords and agents, with 150,000 tenancies now represented in its platform data.

“COHO’s own research shows that affordability remains the number one reason people choose shared living, while its platform serves a diverse and increasingly important part of the rental market.

“We want to make sure good tenants can access the homes they want without unnecessary barriers created by deposits or traditional guarantor requirements.”

And COHO claims the integration should lead to a smoother application process and fewer delays while providing reassurance that the right protections are in place.”
