A campaign is being launched to help landlords in the East Midlands navigate changes to the private rented sector.
It follows a recent survey by EMPO – the region’s largest landlords association – which showed that all landlords who responded had concerns about the Renters’ Rights Bill. More than half are likely to sell properties as a result.
EMPO is now starting a campaign called ‘On Your Side’ to offer confidential advice and support as landlords face an uncertain future.
It will be launched at an event in Nottingham next month, when legal and industry professionals will be speaking about a range of key issues and how landlords will be affected.
A spokesperson for EMPO said the organisation’s recent survey showed the need for specialist help and advice for landlords in a challenging landscape.
Landlord and EMPO member Paul Rowland said: “Many landlords are feeling worried and anxious about some of the biggest changes we’ve seen in the sector for many years. This event will provide them with helpful information and show that EMPO is on their side.”
The free event on Tuesday 6th May at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground will help landlords connect with fellow property owners in the sector, share experiences and gain valuable insights from industry experts.
